Peering into Jupiter’s Atmosphere – NASA

484 million miles from our beloved planet Earth lies Jupiter, a gas giant. An image of its breathtaking tumultuous atmosphere was captured by NASA’s Juno spacecraft.

Juno captured Jupiter’s churning northern region on Feb. 17, during an expedition which was about 15,610 miles above these clouds.

The atmospheric particles floating over the planet’s clouds are still a mystery to scientists of NASA. “Scientists don’t yet know exactly what these hazes are made of or how they form,” informs NASA.
