BMW CEO India Passes Away Suddenly.

Rudratej Singh, who was part of the German motor giant in India since August 2019 passed away due to a sudden cardiac arrest while working out on his home treadmill in Gurgaon. The late CEO was previously part of Royal Enfield, where he celebrated a three-year sting.

BMW India is in shock after the sudden demise of its Chief Executive Officer & President Rudratej Singh, who was only 46 years at the time of death.

While the company has officially informed that the cause of death is still being ascertained by the authorities. Sources have identified the cause of death as a Cardiac Arrest. Rudratej known as Rudy by friends and family passed away on the 20^th of April at his home in Gurgaon, India. He was working out on his treadmill when the tragedy occurred.

“BMW Group India with profound sorrow announces the demise of Rudratej Singh, President and CEO. The cause behind the sudden and unexpected demise is yet to be ascertained,” the company quoted in a statement. “Our prayers are with his family and loved ones during this difficult period. He will always be remembered as an inspiring and compassionate human being.”

The late CEO’s death is the second tragedy BMW India has attested within a short span of a fortnight. Mihir Dayal, a senior executive, who was spearheading BMW India’s Sales as Director of Sales succumbed to cancer. He was only 40. A colleague and close companion of Rudy’s was dearly missed by the late CEO as he tweeted a touching obituary for Dayal on the 8^th of April.

“Rest in peace my friend – we play our pending round of golf on the other side,” Rudy had tweeted.

An alumnus of Delhi University, Rudy began his career in Dabur in 1996 and subsequently joined the automobile industry after 16 years in the Consumer Goods industry which included a prolonged stint at Hindustan Unilever.

An avid golfer, during his leisure time Rudy was always open to fresh ideas which he believed, gave him fresh perspectives.
