The dictator who is ‘fondly’ known as “Rocket Man” by the American President Donald J.Trump for his keen interests in missile launches and nuclear weapons was rumored to have undergone a surgical procedure earlier this month.

A Hong Kong-based broadcast networked through ‘a very solid source’ aired on Saturday the Korean Leader had passed away, further speculations were raised as a Japanese magazine reported that the Korean Leader is brain dead. North Korea, however, continues with its duties denying everything.

Other unconfirmed reports, to senior Community Party sources in Beijing, stated that Kim succumbed during a minor operation.

Saturday’s much-ballyhooed 88th anniversary of the birth of the Korean People’s Revolutionary Army further fueled the death talk as the bellowed leader was not present at the event.

China dispatched medical experts to look into the dictator’s health. An unnamed medic from the medical team had informed the Japanese magazine that Kim was seen clutching his chest as he fell hitting the ground during a visit to the countryside of North Korea earlier this month. Kim was then reported to have received CPR at a nearby hospital.

Despite all the foreign reports, no official press release has been issued by the state media of North Korea.

“When it comes to North Korea you can never be too sure until you hear the news from the country itself,” said David Maxwell, a North Korea specialist at the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies. “But it’s worth noting that there are 6.5 million smartphones in North Korea now and even though the coverage is within the country, information has a way of getting out faster now than it did in the past.”

Maxwell suspects whether the current global pandemic had a part to play if the North Korean leader were dead. Kim’s obesity, high blood pressure, and diabetes do raise a number of concerns. According to global statistics, the Corona free military governed country could be concealing facts about the virus said, Maxwell. If this is the case and suppose the supreme leader was dead, then we could surmise that the virus has played a prominent part in his death.

Kim Jong Un has led the country since 2011, taking over the onus of leading the North Korean people since the passing away of his father Kim Jong II.

“North Korea will likely shut down every inch of the border in the event of Kim’s death”, Maxwell said, and the country’s Politburo of the Workers will meet behind closed doors to designate his successor.
